Nafpaktos Politistikes Diadromes Association was founded in 1994 under the name “Independent Carnival Syndicate”, as its sole responsibility was the carnival festivities. After the three years its activity was broaden to further cultural events thus it was renamed to Nafpaktos: Politistikes Diadromes. The association’s activities are now grouped in four categories. A Carnival Festivities, B. Summer Festival, C. St. Demetrio’s week, D. Music, Arts and Literature.
Particularly, the following events are scheduled every year.
• Photography Exhibition “Nafpaktos Yesterday”
The exhibition takes place in the redeveloped building of the old slaughterhouse. The collection numbers 1500 photographs and it is constantly enriched. The collection is available for researchers and students. The exhibition opens twice a year, but can also be visited throughout the year in collaboration with the association’s members.
• Theatrical Performances
The association’s theatre club but also other theatre groups schedule performances every year.
• Participation in the reenactment of the “Battle of Nafpaktos”
• Participation in the Carnival Events
• Concerts with local rock bands
• Children Carnival Ball

• “Epahtitikos Wedding” satirical performance
• Construction of carnival floats
• “Koulouma”
• Rizikaria
Rizikaria is a dramatized performance of Klidonas custom.
• Excursions
The association organizes excursions with cultural interest every year (Nafplio – Epidavros – Zagorochoria).
